Final Outcome (Short Narrative & Research)

For my experimental narrative I am going to attempt to create a stop motion on the story of a snowman. I have researched into this and I found a few cracking examples which have sourced my inspiration.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqIS_jWN2ms I like this example because it has a strong and powerful narrative behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyTgTtaX_i0 I like this example because of the way that the snow almost melts and flows into each other so simply and the way that the photographer has produced the narrative. I also like the way the snow sort of comes together off the grass leaving trails to represent the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pGL3pmf8sI I think that this example is good because of the way that the clothing and features of the snowman start on the floor as its almost like the snowman is alive and building and clothing himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feuFkF50r44 T...

Experimental Short Sequence of Movement

Tutorial on how to create a short sequence of movement (Time-lapse) The first thing that you want to do is open the images that you would like to use for the short sequence of movement.  In order to do this you need to go to File - Open.  This opens up a tab in the middle of the screen you then want to locate the folder which has all the image that you have shot of the sequence of movement. Once you have found the folder you then want to open it and select the first image and then click on the 'open image sequence button' This then opens up a smaller tab with the frame rate option. I found that 24 fps worked the best for my short sequences of movement. The time-lapse should now have loaded into photoshop and will be visible in the centre of the screen and each individual frame can be seen in the timeline at the bottom of the screen. You then want to go to File - Export - Render Video. ...

GIF Tutorial

An animated GIF or 'Graphics Interchange Format' is a graphic image on a web page which moves. A GIF contains a set of photographs that are shown in a specific order. A GIF can be looped, or it can run the animation once and stop.  Tutorial on how to create a GIF on photoshop below: 1. Import a set photographs. Firstly open up photoshop and go to File - Scripts - Load Files into Stack. Click browse and then find the set of photographs that you would like to import, then click ok to load all the files into a single layered file. Each individual file has now got its own layer which can be found in the layer palette on the right side of the screen. These layers will later become the frames for the animated GIF. 2. Open up the timeline. Go to Window - Timeline to open the timeline panel. In the centre of the timeline at the bottom of the screen should be a button, click it and then select 'create frame animation' and then click the button to...
